Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday extended his “sincere” condolences to the people of Serbia after Friday’s tragic railway station roof collapse in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad, which claimed at least 14 people’s lives.

“Georgian people stand in solidarity with the friendly people of Serbia in this difficult time”, the PM said in his social media message.

According to Serbian media reports, more than 30 people were injured during the incident early on Friday, at a train station, 70 kilometres northwest of the capital Belgrade.
