Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday extended its condolences to the families of the victims of a massive explosion that shook Yerevan on Sunday.
The foreign office said the incident was “shocking” and expressed “solidarity” with “our Armenian friends in this difficult time”.
“Our condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the tragedy. We wish swift and speedy recovery to all those injured and stand in solidarity with our Armenian friends in this difficult time!”, the statement said.

The Armenian National Crisis Management Centre received a report on Sunday about an explosion at the Surmalu shopping centre in Yerevan.
Preliminary data said the blast was followed by a fire, with the number of injured exceeding 60, and five people dying as a result of the powerful explosion.
