Irakli Kobakhidze, the Head of the ruling Georgian Dream party’s election staff and the Prime Minister of Georgia, on Sunday announced a meeting between Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the party, and Robin Dunnigan, the United States Ambassador to the country, was set to take place in the “nearest future”.

This meeting will be held very soon, as was agreed. I think it will be held in the nearest future” he stated.

The announcement comes in the wake of Ivanishvili’s remarks in an interview with Imedi TV on Monday, where he highlighted that a meeting with the US Ambassador would follow the parliamentary elections in the country.
