Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday inspected a youth centre, library and museum named after the country’s first President Zviad Gamsakhurdia in the western city of Zugdidi, the Government Administration said.
Kobakhidze highlighted the significance of the ₾18.8 million ($6.8 mln) project for the centre as a “space for young people to explore their interests”.
This is a multifunctional centre executed to the highest standards. [...] The establishment of this centre in Zugdidi is significant, and we are committed to continuing such projects in the future. Supporting the interests of young people is a top priority for us, and we will pursue many initiatives in this area”, he said.
The 3,000-square-metre library, built in the vicinity of 19th century Dadiani Palace, includes a reading hall equipped with the “latest technology”, a multimedia library, spaces for lectures, conferences, and exhibitions, as well as exhibition and museum halls and administrative offices.
