Georgian Parliament Speaker, Estonian Ambassador discuss partnership

The existing partnership between Georgia and Estonia was discussed on Tuesday by the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Marge Mardisalu-Kahar, the newly appointed Estonian Ambassador to the country, the Parliament press office said.

At the meeting, the sides also reviewed Georgia’s European Union integration path, as well as the current developments in the country and the wider region and its “impact on Georgia’s security and prosperity”. 

The Estonian Ambassador expressed her country’s “unwavering support” for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.

Papuashvili congratulated Mardisalu-Kahar on her appointment and wished her “a successful tenure”, adding he looked forward “to fruitful cooperation” with the new Ambassador.
