Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday featured in the opening of the General Debate of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Government Administration said.
The participants of the opening session were addressed by António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the UN, Philemon Yang, the President of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the United States President Joe Biden, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as other leaders.
The theme of the General Debate of the 79th session of the General Assembly is “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations”.
Kobakhidze is set to address the world leaders at the UN General Debate on Wednesday, the Administration also added.
