The Georgian Finance Ministry on Monday announced the French Development Agency, a public financial institution, would allocate €30 million for the second stage of improving water supply and sanitation systems in Khashuri Municipality and its surrounding settlements in the south-west of the country.
The Ministry said the allocation was following the €58 million loan agreement signed in 2020 to fund the reconstruction of water and sanitation utilities in the locality.
It also said the country’s Government had implemented a number of investment projects in road, energy, water infrastructure, irrigation systems and other infrastructural areas in cooperation with international financial institutions.
It added the Government’s efforts on investment projects and finding “appropriate instruments” for their financing were ongoing and included cooperation with international and bilateral partners.
