Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday said the development of tourism infrastructure was “essentially important” for the Racha region, the Government Administration noted.

During his visit to western Georgia's highland area of Racha, the head of the Government together with the investors visited Mravaldzali, Skhartali, Shkhivana and Betlevi villages, where “substantial tourism infrastructure” could be developed “most effectively”.

We have looked for several locations where it is possible to develop tourism infrastructure at a high level. We will work “very actively” on this together with potential investors. We are also thinking of involving foreign companies to help us in project planning”, Kobakhidze noted.
