Georgian  Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday participated in the Sustainable Development Summit of this year's Summer Olympic Games in Paris along with the heads of states.
Organised by the French Development Agency, the event was opened with an address by AFD Director General Rémy Rioux, Thomas Bach, the International Olympic Committee President and French President Emmanuel Macron, the Georgian Government Administration said.
The Summit hosted about 500 participants, including heads of state, representatives of international organisations and sports federations.

Kobakhidze also attended the ceremonial reception hosted in the Louvre on behalf of Bach, for visiting state leaders ahead of the opening of the Olympics on Friday.

On Wednesday, Kobakhidze said he hoped this year's Games would see an “all-time high” number of medals and gold medals won by the country’s team, highlighting the “outstanding” Georgian athletes by saying they had “great achievements both in team and individual sports”.
