Ruling Party head says People Power will participate in parliamentary elections with common list with GD

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party in the Parliament said on Tuesday at the opening of the GD party’s election campaign and new central office, the political party People Power will participate in upcoming parliamentary elections in October with a common list with GD. 

The GD official also claimed the parliamentary elections would be a “battle” where an independent, national Government would be “challenged” by an “agents” of “global war power”, - a reference to unspecified political forces in the West who allegedly seek to create a revolutionary scenario in Georgia and involve the country into opening a “second front” amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, with false narratives.

Mdinaradze also added that the ruling party should not allow the “factor of  the European Union” to be used by someone as a "blackmail tool" against Georgian people during the election campaign.
