One individual has been arrested for selling forged money totalling $3,700, the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia said on Friday.
The body said its investigation had revealed the individual in question sold forged $100 bills in the amount in the capital city of Tbilisi.
It said all counterfeit bills had been confiscated as a result of the investigation.
The potential sentence for the crime involves imprisonment ranging from seven to 10 years.
