Georgian canoer Zaza Nadiradze claimed a bronze medal at the Canoe Sprint, Paracanoe and Standup paddleboarding European Championships hosted in Hungary, the Sports Ministry said on Friday.
Nadiradze covered the 200-metre distance of the single-seater canoe in 38.898 seconds and claimed his win.
The Ministry said a Polish athlete became the European champion, while a Spanish canoer became the vice-champion at the competition.
The body added the Georgian national team was participating in the European Championships with the support of the Ministry.
Canoer Zaza Nadiradze has won the canoe sprint world cup in the Hungarian town of Szeged. Nadiradze claimed his win in the 200-metre sprint race today, finishing with 40.38 seconds.
