Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi is hosting an annual Summer Fest with various activities and musical programmes at the Miracle Square near the Alphabet Tower, a 130-metre-high structure in the city that symbolises the Georgian alphabet.

The festival, organised over the weekend by the regional Adjara Tourism Department, offers beautiful summer and sea decorations and installations, with the guests having an opportunity to have a good time, relax and attend a variety of musical shows.

The event has been officially launched with a show of drummers and a costumed procession of pantomime actors.

The festival also includes music shows by local and visiting bands, fingers theatre, rock climbing, kite and street art shows, an illusionist show, and clay sculpting master classes and many other activities for children.

Visitors to the festival are also invited to an exhibition space for handicrafts, with around 15 lounges and cafe bars offering guests a summer menu at the food courts.
