Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said his Government’s support for Ukraine had been manifested through endorsements of “various pro-Ukraine decisions” in international forums amid the ongoing war.

Kobakhidze, who is featuring in the ongoing Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin, said the Government’s “political position” towards Ukraine was “very solid and very clear”.

In various formats, we have supported more than 600 decisions, various types of acts, resolutions that provided for the support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity [and] condemnation of Russia's military aggression. Our political position is very firm and very clear”, he said.

The PM also highlighted the volume of humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine from the country and stressed it was “our duty to show maximum support to the Ukrainian people”.

Forty-four states, including Georgia, in April signed the Political Declaration of the Ministerial Conference on Restoring Justice for Ukraine in The Hague, expressing support for the establishment of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression and initiatives to use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.
