Tourism products of the western Georgian region of Adjara have been showcased at fairs hosted in China and Saudi Arabia, the Tourism and Resorts Department of the region said on Friday.
The body said it had introduced “various visitor opportunities” of the region at the events in the two countries in collaboration with the National Tourism Administration and industry companies.
Visitors at the exhibitions had the opportunity to obtain detailed information about travelling to Adjara and Georgia. Additionally, business meetings were conducted with local tourism companies, advertising firms and media representatives to explore potential cooperation”, the body said.
This year, the Department promoted the region at 15 international travel fairs, including in “key markets” in Berlin, Frankfurt, Dubai, Helsinki, New York, Vienna and Prague, it added.
The Agency has also organised press and informational tours from target countries to promote and promote the region.
Georgia’s visitor attractions were showcased at ITB China, an international tourism fair in Shanghai, on Monday, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said.
