Georgia’s Interior Ministry pays tribute to service members killed on duty

Vakhtang Gomelauri, Georgia’s Interior Minister, on Friday paid tributes to police officers killed on duty on national Police Officer Day, the Ministry said. 

Gomelauri laid a wreath at the Ministry’s memorial for law enforcement professionals, with a guard of honour and a minute of silence observed by participants. 

Deputy interior ministers and heads of various units of the body also joined the event, marked annually on May 31.
