Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday discussed prospects for deepening the partnership between Georgia and the Community of Portuguese Language Countries with visiting delegation of the CPLP.

The parties reviewed strengthening of economic cooperation between the member and observer countries of the union in both bilateral and multilateral formats, after Georgia joined the CPLP as an associate observer in 2014.

The meeting also discussed “important political processes” around the world, the Government Administration said.

The head of the visiting delegation confirmed to Kobakhidze the “strong support” of the Community for the territorial integrity of Georgia and the policy of non-recognition of its Russian-occupied territories.
