“Significant achievements and initiatives” of the Georgian probation system were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Lado Kheladze, the Head of Georgia's National Agency for Crime Prevention, Enforcement of Non-Custodial Sentences and Probation, Buba Lomuashvili, the country’s Deputy Justice Minister, and Lithuanian officials.

The Agency said the meeting featured Rokas Uscila, the Vice-Minister of Justice of Lithuania and Romas Ostanavicius, the Director of the Lithuanian Probation Service, together with heads of structural units of the bodies.

The sides also discussed “innovative” projects and a “number of directions” of the Agency's activities, it added.

The innovative technology of PROBBOX - an orientation course for probationers - was introduced to the Lithuanian officials at the Public Service Hall in the country’s capital of Tbilisi.
