Rescuers recover second body of minor after road accident in north-western Georgia

Rescuers have recovered the body of a 14-year-old minor from Nakra River in the north-western highland town of Mestia in Svaneti region after a vehicle carrying three minors fell into the river last week, local media said on Tuesday.
The rescuers working in the area found the body of a 16-year-old girl last week, with search efforts ongoing to find the body of a third missing individual.
Locals are involved in the efforts together with professionals of the Emergency Management Service.
Georgian Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze on Friday said 103 units of heavy hardware were being used in 10 locations for the search and clearing operations in the disaster-affected zone in the western municipality of Oni, where a landslide killed at least 24 last week.
Search and rescue works are continuing in the western Georgian municipality of Oni following the landslide killed at least 18 in the Shovi resort five days ago, with the latest casualty discovered on Sunday.
The rescuers recovered the bodies of two more individuals in the western municipality of Baghdati in the Imereti region after a landslide that hit the village of Nergeeti on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry confirmed to the local media.
Two bodies have been recovered and about 50 individuals, including children, evacuated after landslides and flood hit the Guria and Adjara regions in Georgia's west on Thursday and early on Friday, the Georgian Interior Ministry confirmed on Friday.
