Georgian police have arrested six individuals in the capital Tbilisi and other regions of the country on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition over a recent period, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Sunday.
The Ministry revealed that law enforcement had seized a hunting rifle, a hand grenade, an explosive device, firearms, a revolver, pistols and cartridges, as well as marijuana from the accused persons.
The crimes are punishable by up to seven years in prison.
