The Georgian Embassy in Israel on Sunday activated a hotline for Georgian citizens living in the country amid Iran’s large-scale drone and missile attack on Israel on Saturday night.
In its social media post, the Embassy wished peace to Israel and its people.
More than 300 projectiles, including around 170 drones and over 120 ballistic missiles, were fired toward Israel in an aerial attack overnight, the international media said, citing the Israeli military that 99 percent of the projectiles were “intercepted by Israel’s aerial defence systems and its partners”.
Iran launched the attack on Israel in retaliation for a suspected Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate building in Syria's capital, Damascus, earlier this month.
