“Positive dynamics” of the development of bilateral relations between Georgia and Germany were discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Bärbel Bas, the President of the German Bundestag.
The meeting focused on the “successful cooperation” between the legislative bodies of the two countries in “various fields”, the Georgian Government Administration said.
Kobakhidze emphasised Germany's “strong support” for the country's foreign policy priorities, in particular its accession to European and Euro-Atlantic bodies, and expressed his hope the German Government would continue to support Georgia in the process.
The officials highlighted the “active and fruitful” cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries and the importance of further deepening of inter-parliamentary ties.
Kobakhidze thanked Bas for her firm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
