Strategic partnership between Georgia and the United Kingdom was discussed on Thursday in a meeting between Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, and Mark Clayton, the British Ambassador to the country.
The officials reviewed “successful” cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats and topics for a further strengthening of the partnership, the Georgian Dream press office said.
The meeting highlighted the “important” contribution of the United Kingdom to the strengthening of state institutions and democratic development in Georgia.
The meeting also reviewed the “ongoing political processes” in Georgia, security matters and challenges in the wider region and the world.
