Irakli Garibashvili, the new Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party and the former Prime Minister of Georgia, on Saturday said the GD party “must win” the upcoming parliamentary elections “strongly and convincingly”, and noted his party’s goal was to secure a constitutional majority.
Following the meeting with the representatives of the ruling party in Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi, as part of the election campaign, Garibashvili told the media he had discussed the election plans with GD party activists.
He emphasised the ruling party had a maximum mobilisation in all regions for the upcoming elections, adding he would be holding meetings in the remaining regions within the 100 days.
