The Georgian team of trampoline gymnasts on Thursday claimed their first-ever European Championships gold medal among juniors in Guimaraes, Portugal.

Nino Koridze, Ana Lapiashvili and Maia Bochoridze scored 276 points in team competition, taking the first place in the qualifying.

The trio defeated their Italian counterparts by one point, and with 13 points claimed the title.

Luba Golovina, Mariam Ragimova, Teona Janjghava and Anano Afakidze will be competing at the tournament later today, with the Championships set to end on Sunday.
