Georgian ruling party head, Chinese Ambassador discuss strategic partnership

Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday met Zhou Qian, the Chinese Ambassador to the country, to discuss the strategic partnership agreement signed last year between the two states.

The meeting reviewed the deal that resulted in the introduction of visa-free travel between the countries, discussed “ongoing processes in the wider region and the world”, as well as the “domestic political situation” in Georgia, the ruling party said.

Qian extended his gratitude to Garibashvili for his work for deepening the cooperation with China during his tenure as the Prime Minister.

On his part, Garibashvili also extended his gratitude to the Ambassador for his contribution to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
