Georgian servicemembers claim 15 medals at US Air Force Trials for injured troops

The Georgian team of injured servicemembers are successfully competing in the Air Force & Marine Corps Trials in the United States, with Georgian military para-athletes claiming four gold, six silver and five bronze medals in both individual and team sports.

The Defence Ministry servicemembers won second place in team sports at the tournament, held at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and are set to compete in  wheelchair basketball, rowing and powerlifting in the coming days.

The Georgia para-athletes are participating for the second time in the competition, which aims to establish an environment that enhances team bonding and helps wounded warriors share recovery information, developing new ways of coping and building lasting relationships in a multi-national community of understanding.
