Interior Ministry reveals 4,023 individuals tested positive for drug use across Georgia in 2023

Interior Ministry statistics show 4,023 out of 5,492 individuals tested for drug use had confirmed cases of use across Georgia over the past year, with the figures including 10 minors.
The Ministry said out of 5,338 men who underwent drug addiction tests 3,970 tested positive, while 53 out of 154 women had their addiction confirmed.
The body noted 10 out of 17 minors who underwent the tests also showed addiction.

Among individuals aged over 60, 72 out of 155 tested positive for drug use.
Georgian police on Wednesday said law enforcement officers had arrested 112 individuals on drug-related charges, including 66 for drug-dealing, in capital Tbilisi and other regions of the country.
