Intergovernmental commission meetings will become regular under the agreement, the Foreign Ministry said, noting the establishment of the Council had been decided during the 2022 meeting of the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
After signing the agreement, the officials discussed the “close partnership and friendship” between the two states and highlighted the importance of deepening relations in trade, economy, tourism and culture, as well as extending people-to-people ties.

The conversation touched on the “successful visit” of the Georgian PM to Saudi Arabia in 2022 and on the importance of “timely and effective” implementation of the agreements reached within the said visit.
