The State Procurement Agency of Georgia on Wednesday said it had blacklisted 16 companies in the first three weeks of 2024 due to their failure to fulfil obligations under contracts on state procurement.

The penalised companies included Lemasi, which was supposed to supply outerwear to professionals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Police Department, and Alpha+8, which was expected to carry out preparatory works for a construction site in the south-eastern municipality of Marneuli. The two entities were blacklisted three times, the Agency said.

The most recent company to be added to the blacklist is Tech-Service+, which was contracted with providing repair and technical service of equipment for a facility by Georgian Railways.

The Agency said companies included in the blacklist would not be able to participate in new tenders over the next year.
