The work of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia and cooperation with the Czech Republic were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Koka Katsitadze, the Head of the Service, and Petr Kubernát, the Czech Ambassador to the country.
Katsitadze noted the work done by the Special Investigation Service together with the Georgian Parliament to fulfil the recommendations of the European Commission for strengthening the agency and ensuring its independence, the Service said.
The meeting also focused on the joint participation of the Service and the General Inspectorate of Security Forces of the Czech Republic in international networks of independent investigative bodies.
The officials also reviewed prospects of strengthening their partnership.
