Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Wednesday discussed prospects of enhanced cooperation during his meeting with Levent Çakıroğlu, the CEO of the Turkish company Koç Holding, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Government Administration said officials also discussed “key directions” of Koç Holding activities in Georgia, which owns several hotels in the country.
The Georgian Prime Minister reviewed the country's ongoing “positive” economic trends and pointed out high economic growth of recent years was as a result of the Government's “prudent” economic policy.
The meeting also noted Georgia was “attracting investors in many ways”, including with its IT sector that offered “some of the most beneficial tax terms” and “dynamic development”.
The parties also discussed cooperation in tourism. Garibashvili underlined Georgia’s “great potential” in this direction and emphasised direct revenues from tourism had been on the rise in recent years thanks to Government’s policy.
