Georgian PM, Kempinski CEO discuss investment opportunities

Future plans, including the possibility of starting the construction of the Kempinski hotel in Georgia, were discussed on Tuesday by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Bernold Schroeder, the Chief Executive Officer of the Kempinski Group.

At the meeting as part of his official visit to Germany, Garibashvili emphasised the investment opportunities and “favourable” business environment in Georgia, while also highlighting the diverse tourism capabilities of the country.

The Head of the Government said that Georgia had hosted about 5.5 million international visitors in 2022 and as he noted by 2024 the number would return to the pre-pandemic mark of 9.4 million, the Government Administration said.

Kempinski Hotels is a luxury hotel management company headquartered in Geneva, operating 78 five-star hotels and residences in 34 countries and employing more than  22,500 people.
