The First Republic Square in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi will host a gala concert on New Year’s Eve, with Georgian artists, choirs, ensembles and dancers participating in “an impressive” two-hour show under the title “From European City to Europe”.

The gala concert programme, set to begin at midnight, includes a total of 30 musical performances, with more than 200 performers participating in the event.

The National Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Nikoloz Rachveli will also feature in the show. The audience will enjoy new versions of well-known and beloved Georgian songs, including Christmas songs, as well as foreign hits.

New Year’s Eve will be celebrated around the country with various events and activities, as all 10 regions of Georgia are welcoming the holidays in a festive mood with illuminations and Christmas trees.
