Irakli Kadagishvili, the Chair of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules of the Georgian Parliament, on Sunday attended the inauguration of Argentina's newly elected President Javier Milei.
During the inauguration ceremony, the lawmaker reaffirmed the Georgian Government's “dedication” to expanding and deepening relations between the two countries to Milei, the Vice President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Parliament press office said.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your election to this esteemed office. Once again, we affirm Georgia's deep respect and eagerness to enhance and develop relations with Argentina across political, economic, and humanitarian sectors", Kadagishvili told the new President.
In response, Milei expressed gratitude to the MP for representing Georgia at the inauguration ceremony.
Kadagishvili also featured in the swearing-in ceremony at the Argentine Congress, the inter-religious ceremony at the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, and the inauguration event at the Colón theatre. Gvaram Khandamishvili, the Georgian Ambassador to Argentina, also attended these events.
