Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze will this week feature in the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial in Ankara, with the event looking to consolidate cooperation between the countries of the region and promote integration of its countries into Euro-Atlantic structures.

The Georgian Ministry said defence ministers of NATO member and partner countries would discuss regional security and cooperation and sign a joint statement at the Ministerial, scheduled to run between Tuesday and Thursday.

Burchuladze will hold meetings with foreign colleagues and discuss defence ties with his Turkish and Romanian counterparts Yaşar Güler and Angel Tîlvăr on the sidelines of the event.

Georgia became a full member of the Ministerial in 2015 and hosted the event in 2017.
