Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Georgian MP, has been elected as the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation for a two-year term at the 62nd session of the PABSEC, the Georgian Parliament press office said on Saturday.
The plenary session of the Assembly, held on November 15-17 in Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv, discussed strengthening the role of the parliaments of the Black Sea region countries in the development of security and cooperation.
The Russian delegation officially left the PA, as the Assembly adopted a declaration supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity amid the current events in the country.
On the sidelines of the session, Nikolaishvili also held a bilateral meeting with Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and got acquainted with the current situation in the war-affected Bucha and Irpin.
