Foreign office to use “all int’l mechanisms” to protect rights of Georgian fighters captured by Russian forces in Ukraine

The Georgian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said “all international mechanisms” would be used to ensure the protection of the rights of two Georgian fighters, who were captured by Russian military forces during the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The foreign office noted it had been informed “through open sources” that on Tuesday Russian forces had taken the two Georgian fighters, identified only through their initials, hostages in Ukraine.
