Tbilisi City Hall has completed the construction of a new recreational space in the vicinity of Mziuri Park, a popular recreational destination in the capital city, Mayor Kakha Kaladze said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a City Hall meeting, Kaladze revealed the state body had managed to purchase the space in the vicinity of the Park from a private owner.
We promised Tbilisi residents to organise a recreational space in the mentioned territory. The works have already been completed […] [and] Mziuri Park has expanded following the purchase of an area of up to 2.5 hectares”, Kaladze also noted.
As part of the work, trees have been planted in the vicinity of the Park, while rest and exercise spaces have also been set up.
Kaladze said the City Hall would officially open the new space on Friday with a show.
