Georgian health authorities have started seasonal anti-flu vaccination throughout the country, the Georgian Health Ministry announced on Monday.
Those in risk groups - including patients on dialysis, individuals with diabetes, HIV and AIDS, pregnant women and doctors - will receive vaccines against flu free of charge starting October 16.
The Ministry noted authorities had already purchased 200,000 doses of Abbott quadrivalent influenza vaccine, recommended by the World Health Organisation.
Individuals in the risk groups have been asked to apply to medical institutions in Tbilisi and other regions for the vaccines, with the list of the institutions providing the services listed on the official website of the National Centre for Disease Control.
