The football team of Georgia on Sunday won the first edition of the Nations League competition of the European Amputee Football Federation in Blankenberge, Belgium.

In the games played over the weekend, the Georgian team defeated Belgium 5:0, tied 3:3 with Israel and defeated Greece 2:0.

The team’s final game ended in a 0:0 draw with Ukraine, with both sides scoring eight points in the tournament as a result, but the Georgians took first place with a better scoring difference of 10:3.

With five goals, the team’s Lasha Bregvadze topped the rankings for the best goalscorer of the competition.
