The existing and future cooperation between the Georgian Government and diversified petrochemical and textile company Indorama Corporation was discussed on Saturday by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Sri Prakash Lohia, the founder and Chair of the Corporation at the meeting held in Tbilisi.
The conversation touched on the “long-term” plans of Indorama to modernise the Rustavi Azot chemical plant in Rustavi, in which the company invested $200 million, the Government Administration said.
Georgia’s favourable investment environment and opportunities of the country were also discussed at the meeting, with the PM reaffirming his Government’s readiness to cooperate with “one of the largest” chemical production companies - Indorama Corporation, which has 160 plants in 38 countries and employs more than 45,000 people.
