The Georgian Foreign Ministry on Saturday said the country’s Embassy in Israel was “in communication” with Georgian citizens amid the ongoing Hamas attack on Israel.
The Ministry said there were no Georgian citizens among the injured in the attacks and noted it continued to be in contact with all the relevant agencies of Israel.
The state body "strongly condemned the horrific terrorist attack" on Israel and expressed solidarity with the Israeli Government and people.

The Georgian Ambassador to Israel Lasha Zhvania recently appealed to Georgian citizens in the country and reminded them of the safety rules in case of warning sirens, calling them to remain at the protected shelters.
He urged the citizens to contact the hotline if necessary.
Multiple rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel early on Saturday morning, killing at least 22 and injuring more than 250 people, the media reported.
Hadas Meitzad, the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia, said "instead of enjoying the holiday of Simchat Torah , all over the country Israelis are sitting in shelters".

The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas took the responsibility for the attack.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that “Israel is at war” following an early morning surprise attack from Gaza.
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili earlier condemned “unjustified, brutal, and inhumane” aggression against Israel and expressed Georgian people’s support for “brotherly” Israel.
