Georgian President congratulates newly elected Czech counterpart

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Saturday congratulated Petr Pavel on his victory in the Czech presidential elections.
In her tweet, Zourabichvili wrote she looked forward to working with him on deepening relations between the countries, founded on their “common European values”, and wished the newly elected Czech counterpart “success”.

Pavel, a retired army general and former Chair of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Military Committee, was elected as the new president on Saturday in the second round of elections.
