Communications Commission Chairman says 5.8mln used mobile services in 2022 in Georgia

Kakha Bekauri, the Chairman of the Georgian National Communications Commission, on Wednesday said mobile services across Georgia had 5.84 million users in 2022. 

He also said 4.46 million of the number were individual customers, while the remaining 1.38 million users were legal entities during the year. 

Bekauri said the penetration of the mobile service market in Georgia was “high” at 170 percent.

Among operators, MagtiCom held 42 percent of the market share, with Silknet at 33 percent and Beeline at 25 percent.

The Commission said all three operators had increased their average per subscriber monthly income year-on-year in 2022, with the figure reaching ₾14.1 ($5.32) for MagtiCom, ₾12.1 ($4.57) for Silknet and ₾7.7 ($2.91) for Beeline.
