The 11th edition of Agile Spirit 2023 multinational defence drills in Georgia have officially concluded, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia said on Friday.

Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze addressed participants at the closing ceremony and emphasised the importance of international manoeuvres supporting mutual compatibility of involved troops.

Burchuladze also thanked the United States for its support in planning and execution of the drills, which involved demonstration manoeuvres for raid, blockade and counterattack operations.

It involved Georgian Defence Forces units, as well as the US National Guard and Marine Corps Engineer forces, in addition to Moldovan and Romanian infantry platoons.
