Meline Arakelian, the newly appointed Dutch Ambassador to Georgia, on Friday presented her letter of credence to the Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili to formally start the diplomat’s stint in the country.
In her message on social media, Arakelian noted she was looking forward to contributing to the “excellent” relations between the two countries.

Arakelian on Monday also presented copies of her credentials to Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In her comments, the Dutch diplomat emphasised the Netherlands was an “unwavering” supporter of Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
