Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari on Monday said Georgian and Chinese universities would develop joint programmes and offer student exchange as part of the new partnership announced between the two governments this week.
Amilakhvari said the joint communiqué, released on Monday, included educational and cultural projects, including "close cooperation" in higher education and science and strengthening the teaching of the two languages.

He said the Ministry was continuing “active work” to develop joint programmes between universities of the two states to create “more opportunities” for students interested in learning Chinese and continuing their studies in “prestigious” universities in the country.
