Georgian President pardons 11 inmates

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Friday pardoned 11 inmates, the Presidential Administration announced.

Ten of the convicts were released from serving remainders of their sentences in penitentiary institutions.

The Administration also said one convict’s sentence would be commuted.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has pardoned 15 inmates, including six Ukrainian citizens, on the 33rd anniversary of the April 9 tragedy in Tbilisi.

The Presidential Administration said the pardoned inmates, seven of whom are women, would leave the penitentiary institutions on Saturday.
