A Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday discussed matters including transferring state-owned accommodation housing internally displaced families to their formal ownership.
The decision will see 409 properties transferred to 367 families displaced from the Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions.
They will receive residential flats, as well as agricultural and non-agricultural lands as part of the move, the Government Administration said.
IDPs located in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Chkhorotsku, Shida Kartli, Telavi, Mtskheta, Borjomi, Kvemo Kartli, Samegrelo, Imereti, Batumi and Racha-Lechkhumi will receive the property under the decree.
